Half of Irish parents unprepared for college costs

Half of Irish parents are completely unprepared for the cost of putting their child through 3rd level education.

A new survey from Aviva shows they expect to pay out over five thousand euro a year to do so.

However that figure doubles if the student has to move away from home.

The company’s Ann O’Keeffe says it can be an anxious time for families.
