Exporting and Fodder the main issues for farmers in 2018

The new Tipperary-based President of the ICMSA has identified what he says are the two main issues facing farmers in 2018.

Pat McCormack is focusing on the looming fodder shortage threatening many farms throughout the country.

However, the Greenane man says that the issues surrounding exporting calves are more urgent in the Premier.

The largest vessel for shipping calves is out of action for routine maintanence coming into calving season, and he says that calves need to be moved as early as possible.
