A man has been arrested in connection with an assault in Clonmel earlier this week.
The driver of a car was set upon while parked in the forecourt of a filling station near the Cashel Road roundabout last Monday afternoon.
This morning investigating Gardaí arrested a local man in his late 30s in relation to the incident.
He has been taken to Cahir Garda station for questioning where he is being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
Gardai in Clonmel have thanked the public for their help following an appeal for information on Tipp FM.
