The threat of closure has been lifted from Clogheen Post Office.
It was one of a number of smaller outlets in Tipperary and across the country which had been earmarked for closure by An Post.
However a local campaign appears to have resulted in the decision being reversed.
One of those behind the efforts was local Fine Gael Councillor Marie Murphy who lodged a successful appeal with An Posts independent assessor.
