Investigation underway into major fish kill in North Tipp

Around 15,000 fish have died after a suspected poisoning incident in Tipperary.

Inland Fisheries Ireland says the fish kill happened in a tributary of the Nenagh River near Ballymackey.

Tipp FM’s Sarah O’Dwyer spoke to Michael Fitzsimons, Senior Fisheries Officer with Inland Fisheries Ireland, and began by asking him to give a bit of background on the incident.
