Tipp schools honoured at 2017 Our World Irish Aid Awards

Three Tipperary schools have been honoured at the regional finals of the 2017 Our World Irish Aid Awards.

pupils from St Mary’s Convent Primary School, Nenagh have made it to the national final of the 2017 Our World Irish Aid Awards.

They, along with pupils and teachers from 11 other primary schools across Ireland, will travel to Dublin Castle on Tuesday 13th June 2017 to showcase their project

St Anne’s Special School, Seanross in Roscrea, were presented with a plaque at a special ceremony in the Lime Tree Theatre in Limeick

Meanwhile pupils from Our Lady of Mercy National School picked up a Special Distinction Award at the same event.

Contratulating all those who particpated Minister of State for the Diaspora and International Development, Joe McHugh said they had shown exceptional creativity and understanding of the theme ‘For People and Planet’.
