Tipperary fares well in Lotto funding

Tipperary ranks 10th highest in Lotto funding per head of population.

The Premier County got over €1.5 million last year which works out at €9.80 for every person in the county.

This is just behind Dublin at €9.84 and well ahead of Meath which at slightly over €278,500 is just €1.51 per head of population.

Sligo fared best with €23.35 per person.

However a storm is brewing as the Taoiseach's home county of Mayo recorded a 70% increase in funding last year to €1.8 million.
