High Court to decide on high profile Dublin repossession.

The High Court will rule today whether to stop a receiver from taking possession of Dublin solicitor Brian O'Donnell's family home.

Land League protesters are said to have barricaded the luxury property in Killiney.

Brian O'Donnell's son Blake told the High Court he did not know how protesters came to be at the family home on the Vico Road in Killiney.

He suggested media reports that the new Land League had barricaded themselves in may be exaggerated.

Rossa Fanning, barrister for the receiver tasked with taking possession of the 7 million euro property, suggested the protesters had been invited in by the O’Donnell’s.

Under a Supreme Court order, Blake O'Donnell and his siblings were due out of the house by yesterday afternoon but he says his parent have a right of residence there.

Mr Justice Brian McGovern will this afternoon rule on the family's latest attempt to hold their ground.
