Wait for Junior Cert results over

They are among 60,000 pupils across the country anxiously awaiting the outcome of the state exams.

The wait is over for the students in the Premier County who sat the Junior Cert exams last June.

The State Examinations Commission has issued the statements of provisional results which will be in schools today.

1,183 female and 1,140 male students sat the exam in Tipperary this year while the overall numbers sitting the examination has decreased by 1% on last year.  

Almost 598,000 individual grades in 26 different subjects are being delivered to the 59,522 students who sat the Junior Cert this year. 

Students can also access their results through the on-line examination results service on examinations.ie from 4 o'clock this afternoon.
