Troubling trolley watch figures persist nationwide

Over 360 people are waiting on a bed at hospitals across the country.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation claims 279 people are on trolleys while a further 84 are in overflow areas of wards.

According to the latest trolley watch report – University Hospital Limerick is the most overcrowded with 42 people in need of a bed.

At South Tipp General in Clonmel there are 19 patients on trolleys or chairs.
