A woman is believed to have drowned in the River Suir in what is believed to have been a tragic accident.
The elderly woman is understood to have been walking along the river bank near Kilsheelan when she fell into the water.
The woman’s body was recovered this afternoon.
Gardaí in Clonmel are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.
