New figures show a fall of nearly 25% in the mumber of break-ins in the Tipp Division during the first three months of the year.

Central Statistics Office figures show there were 121 reported burglaries in Tipperary during the first quarter of 2016 – down from 160 for the same period last year.

Nationally, Gardai were informed of over 23,000 burglary and related offences from January to March – a fall of over 5,200.
