Almost 30 years since the 13-year-old disappeared in Rathfarnham Gardaí are looking into the possibility that Philip may have been abducted by a convicted sex offender.
It's after a woman came forward to Gardaí claiming to have new information about the case.
It's understood Gardaí interviewed convicted sex offender Eamon Cooke in connection with the case before he died last week.
Sinn Féin TD for Dublin South West Sean Crowe says he hopes that new information can give the family closure.
