Last Friday lawyers for Sean Fitzpatrick asked that his upcoming October trial be postponed, because of the publicity surrounding the trial of three ex-Anglo officials in recent weeks.
The Defence Counsel told Dublin Circuit Criminal Court he was concerned about the date, because of its proximity to the trial of the former officials.
Judge Martin Nolan adjourned the matter until today, when he will decide on whether to postpone Mr Fitzpatrick's trial.
