Renua to unveil Carlow-Kilkenny election hopeful

Party leader Lucinda Creighton says it's a historic occasion for the party – and she's delighted they're in a position to contest their first election.

It's rumoured that 26 year old Patrick McKee, who was elected as a Fianna Fail councillor ten months ago, will be confirmed as the Renua Ireland candidate, however, the new party hasn't confirmed this.

The By-Election is a result of Fine Gael's Phil Hogan being appointed EU Commissioner.
