Astronomy Ireland is running an Eclipse Watch from 2am to 6am on Monday morning- at its Dublin headquarters.
The eclipse which will be blood red in colour will also been seen from the rest of Europe and North America.

David Moore, Editor of Astronomy Ireland Magazine says it will be a long time before such an event occurs again.
