ASTI members ready to ballot new proposals to end dispute

Schools may escape closure in any future industrial action from the ASTI.

That's according to the group's president, as members get set to ballot on a fresh round of proposals aimed at ending their long-running dispute.

The Central Executive Committee has recommended the document be rejected by ASTI members, who are about to be balloted.

President Ed Byrne says if it is, there could be a new form of action on the cards.
