A man was arrested in Templemore following the discovery of a weapon.
Earlier this month, Gardaí in the town noticed a man acting suspiciously and conducted a search.
Upon searching the individual, Gardaí found a 12-inch machete concealed on the person.
The man was arrested and has been charged to appear before the courts.
