Toome defeated Kilruane McDonaghs on a 3-19 to 3-16 scoreline.
Goals from Paul Ryan, Ken Dunne and Mark McCarthy were enough to help Toome to victory despite a three goal haul for Cian Darcy for Kilruane.
Toome led 2-10 to 1-10 at half time and now progress to meet Portroe in the North quarter finals.
In Mid Tipperary JK Brackens recorded a 2-19 to 2-10 victory over Moycarkey Borris in Drombane. The win means Brackens are through to the Mid Tipperary semi finals where they will meet their neighbours Loughmore Castleiney.
Today in the county senior hurling relegation game Moyne Templetuohy take on Boherlahan Dualla with the loser playing at the intermediate grade in 2016. The winner will retain their senior status.
The other relegation game between Holycross Ballycahill and Cappawhite will be played on July 17th.
Later on this evening in North Tipp Ballina and Templederry will battle it out in the North Tipp senior hurling quarter final. The throw in time in Nenagh is 7.30
