Roscrea comfortably overcame Lorrha in their North Tipp Round 1 clash 5-14 to 1-10 – while Drom were the stronger side over Moyne-Templetuohy in their Mid Tip encounter in Templemore yesterday evening on a winning scoreline of 3-28 to 1-18.
They now go on to play Thurles Sarsfields in the Mid quarter final probably on the weekend after the Tipp v Limerick senior game while Roscrea take on Templederry following their victory over Nenagh Eire Óg
Speaking to Tipp FM's Stephen Gleeson afterwards Drom manager Ted Kennedy said it was a good result
So the quarter final pairings in all are
Templederry V Roscrea
Burgess V Borrisokane
Kilruane McDonaghs V Borrisoleigh
Kildangan V Portroe or Ballina which will be played on 21st June.
All the other ties are due to be played on the weekend of the 25th and 26th of June.
