USA claim Ryder Cup victory

The United States proved too strong for Europe as they secured the Ryder Cup for the first time since 2008.

They were always in control on the final day – winning by 17 points to 11 at Hazeltine.

Rookie Ryan Moore was the man who secured victory by beating Lee Westwood.

Europe Ryder Cup golf captain Darren Clarke says he wouldn't change any of his decisions

The loss to the Americans was Europe's heaviest defeat for 35 years.

Clarke will now face inevitable scrutiny over some of his wild-card picks and choices of pairings.

But he says they were beaten by a superior team.
