Under 21 stars drafted into Tipp senior team for football qualifier

Into the side come Under 21 All Ireland finalists Jimmy Feehan from Killenaule who makes his Senior Championship debut at corner back, while Ian Fahey from Clonmel Commercials lines out in midfield.

Up front, Liam Casey from Cahir and Kevin O’Halloran from Portroe make their full Senior Championship debuts also, with both having previously been introduced as replacements against Kerry, while Liam also got a run out against Waterford in the Munster quarter-final.

Selector Michael O’Loughlin says Louth have changed into a more defensive system as the championship progressed but Tipp’s plan is to get ahead in the game and stay ahead. 

Saturday’s game throws-in at 2.45 and will be broadcast live here on Tipp FM in association with Connolly Man Menswear, Clonmel.
