Today's Intermediate Hurling Championship Quarter-Finals were both keenly contested affairs.

Thurles Sarsfield required extra-time to beat Ballinahinch 1-25 to 2-20 with Lattin Cullen Gaels getting the better of Moyle Rover on a 2-14 to 0-15 scoreline.

There were also two County Junior A Hurling Quarter-Finals today: they finished up Ballybacon Grange 0-20 Nenagh Eire Og 0-11; Kiladangan 2-20 St Patrick's 2-14.

Meanwhile, there was dissapointment for the Templemore ladies football team in the Munster Intermediate Championship Semi-Final – Ballylanders of Limerick beat them 4-13 to 1-6 to reach the provincial decider.
