Two early goals by Orla O Dwyer saw Tipp take command early on. At the half time break Tipp led 3-5 to 2-3.

After a strong comeback by Armagh which Tipperary withstood , Tipperary went on to claim the title by 4 points winning 3-12 to 3-8.
