Liam Kearns' team opened the season with a win over Antrim and face Sligo at Semple Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Last year Tipp secured their place in Division 3 on the final day of the campaign despite having been in the promotion hunt a few weeks earlier.
Their boss isn't taking anything for granted this time round.
