Tipp face Galway in football qualifiers.

 


The draw for Round 1 of the All Ireland Football Qualifiers took place this morning.

Tipperary have been drawn away to Galway – the game will be played on Saturday June 29th.


It was a hectic weekend of club action around the county with the big news being the defeat of County Senior Hurling Champions Thurles Sarsfields.

They bowed out in the first round, losing to Nenagh Eire Og by 15 points to 12 in the Ragg.

Lar Corbett was sent off for Sars after just 5 minutes – Nenagh's Billy Heffernan was also red-carded.

The draw for Round 2 of the County Senior Hurling Championship was made last evening.

Mullinahone face Nenagh Eire Og

Borris-Ileigh have been drawn against JK Brackens

Cappawhite await the winners of Burgess & Carrick Davins

Templederry Kenyons meet Ballingarry

Knockavilla-Donaskeigh Kickhams versus Roscrea

Upperchurch-Drombane face Holycross-Ballycahill

and Toomevara meet Kilruane MacDonaghs


The draw was also made for the Seamus O'Riain Cup

Thurles Sarsfields go up against Boherlahan-Dualla

Borrisokane face Golden-Kilfeacle

Cashel King Cormacs await the losers of Burgess & Carrick Davins

and Moneygall meet Lorrha-Dorrha

 

Killenaule will meet Carrick Swans in the South Senior Hurling Final following wins over Mullinahone and Ballingarry respectively over the weekend.    Eoin Kelly scored all of Mullinahone's 11 points but was sent off for a second yellow card late in the game.

Last years County and Provincial Intermediate champions Silvermines are through to the North Tipp Senior Final following a one point win over Borrisoleigh. They'll meet Kiladangan in the final after their defeat of Tomevara.

In Mid Tipp it's Drom & Inch against Loughmore Castleiney after semi-final wins over Upperchurch Drombane and Moycarkey Borris while defending champions Clonoulty Rossmore will meet Eire Og Annacarty Donohill in the West Tipp final.
