15-time champion Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor produced an incredible display to knock world number one Michael van Gerwen out of the BetVictor World Matchplay.
In his final campaign before retirement, Taylor thrashed the defending champion 16-6 to move into the semi-finals at Blackpool Winter Gardens.
There he’ll face world number four Adrian Lewis, who held-off a fightback from Alan Norris to win his quarter-final 16-13.
Both semis will be played tonight, with Northern Ireland’s Daryl Gurney looking to make his first major final by beating world number 3 Peter Wright.
