The Ireland head coach has already finalised a 31-man playing panel for the tournament, with widespread speculation that he has chosen just two scrum-half’s and has included Ulster centre Darren Cave in the squad at the expense of his provincial team-mate Andrew Trimble.
Leinster prop Tadhg Furlong also looks set to travel, despite only winning his first Test cap during last Saturday's loss to Wales.
