Joe Schmidt has confirmed he won't be part of the Lions coaching ticket for next Summer tour to New Zealand.
It had been reported that Head coach Warren Gatland was interested in bringing the Ireland coach but Schmidt says he will work with some players he wouldn’t normally get a lot of time with on the tour to the USA and Japan.
Schmidt says he'd be happy to let defence coach Andy Farrell travel as he is a fantastic coach and can keep an eye on the Irish players on tour.
