Scarlet’s Steff Evans free to play in Pro 12 final

Scarlet’s winger Steff Evans is free to play against Munster in this Saturdays Guinness Pro 12 final.

Evans was red card during last weeks win over Leinster but a Disciplinary Panel has rescinded the card .

The panel decided the tackle only became dangerous as a result of the intervention of Scarlets number 3 Samson Lee.

Meanwhile, Ireland legend Brian O’Driscoll says it’s an “absolutely massive blow” for the British and Irish Lions to lose Billy Vunipola from the squad.

The England number eight withdrew from the trip of New Zealand on Sunday with a shoulder injury.

O’Driscoll went on four successive Lions tours.

He says replacing Vunipola like-for-like is virtually impossible.
