Sars captain expecting tough encounter with Kiladangan

Padraic Maher is hoping to lead Sars to a third successive county title at Semple Stadium on Sunday.

He's been impressed by what he's seen of the North Tipp champions this year.

One of Kiladangan's most experienced campaigners believes they'll need hugely improve on their semi-final performance if they want to make history on Sunday in Thurles.

Darragh Egan and his team-mates are the first group of players from the club to reach a county senior hurling final since 1938.

He's pleased they managed to get through their last match but realises a similar display is unlikely to be good enough to claim the silverware.

Tipp FM will have live commentary on the final at Semple Stadium on Sunday.  Our build-up will begin just after 3 o'clock – coverage will be brought to you in association with Top Oil, Thurles.

We'll also bring you updates from the County Minor A Hurling Final between JK Brackens Og and St Mary's Clonmel.  That match is also being played in Thurles on Sunday and gets underway at 1.15pm.
