Hansen hits out at Gatland claims

New Zealand head coach Steve Hansen says Warren Gatland’s latest comments are “desperate, predictable and disappointing”.

Gatland accused the All Blacks of deliberately targeting Conor Murray’s standing leg during his box-kicks in Saturday’s first test.

Such a move could potentially cause serious injury to the Munster scrum-half.

However Hansen responded by calling a New Zealand radio station to give his version of events.

He says his team would never try to deliberately injure an opponent, and believes the All Blacks always play “tough but fair”.
