Report on doping at Sochi to be published today

Russia could face a complete Olympic ban if allegations of state-sponsored doping at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics are proven today.

An independent commission, set up by the World Anti-Doping Agency, is investigating claims of a former anti-doping chief who alleged dozens of athletes, including at least 15 medallists at the 2014 Winter Olympics, were part of an extensive state-run doping programme.

Russian track and field athletes are currently banned from international competition, including the Rio Olympics but individual athletes can compete as neutrals if they prove they are clean.
