O’Shea praises Tipp team and supporters.

Just millimetres separated Tipperary from All Ireland glory at Croke Park yesterday.

The last puck of the game – an injury time free from John “Bubbles” O'Dwyer – was ruled wide by Hawkeye.

Tipperary 1-28 Kilkenny 3-22 the final score.

Richie Power scored two goals for the Cats while Bubbles notched up 7 points for the Premier, 5 of them from play.

Tipp manager Eamon O’Shea described it as a magnificent match with great hurling and equally mistakes from both sides.

He praised the support of the Tipperary fans and says the team will use the three week break to prepare for the replay.

The replay is set for 5 o'clock on Saturday September 27th – a game which will be broadcast live here on Tipp FM.
