Ireland manager Martin O'Neill will have to check on the fitness of James McCarthy this morning before he finalises his team for tonight's World Cup qualifier against Georgia.

The Everton midfielder is expected to start – provided he suffers no adverse reaction to his recent groin operation.

The other main selection decision facing O'Neill is who to start in the middle of his defence, with Shane Duffy expected to return.

Also tonight in Group D, Austria will play host to Wales while Serbia travel to face Moldova.

All three matches will kick-off at 7.45.
