No resolutions to club fixture issues

One of the county's senior fixture planners says organising when club games should be played is 'very, very difficult'.

Tom Maher made his comments in the wake of the controversy surrounding the inability of two divisions to meet the deadline for the county U21A hurling championship.

This meant that two of the four semi-finalists in the competition – which concluded last weekend – had to be nominated.

The CCC Secretary doesn't think the problems which have been highlighted recently will disappear anytime soon.
