Nenagh Celtic make winning start to title defence

The champions won 3-0 at Ballymackey in the opening round of 2016/17 fixtures.

There were two other top-flight games played.

Cloughjordan scored a 6-0 away win over Sallypark and  Blackmore Templemore Harps were 4-1 home victors against Roscrea Town.
