Munster in action against Edinburgh tonight

The province's proud record of 22 consecutive seasons competing in the Champions Cup is at risk as they prepare to host Edinburgh in Cork.

Anthony Foley's men are trailing Edinburgh in the battle for a top-six finish this season and desperately need a win tonight to get back into contention for qualification to Europe's top tier.

There's four changes in the pack for the Reds- one of them is injury-enforced as Nenagh's Donnacha Ryan has been ruled-out as he follows the return-to-play protocols, which means that Dave Foley will partner Billy Holland in the second-row.

Dave Kilcoyne and Niall Scannell come into the front-row, while Dave O'Callaghan starts at blindside flanker, which means that CJ Stander will revert to no.8.

The only change behind the scrum is the return of Andrew Conway to the make three – replacing Ronan O'Mahony, who is on the bench

That game kicks-off at 7.35, which is also the start time in Glasgow where defending champions the Warriors will host Zebre.

An hour earlier, Connacht will be in action in Italy as they seek to regain the top-spot in the table.

Robbie Henshaw, Aly Muldowney and team-captain John Muldoon have all been named on the bench for today's visit to face Treviso.
