Captain Paul O'Connell believes the province could have a very successful season if they can avoid injuries to important players.

The Reds get their new season under way in tonight's Pro-12 game against Edinburgh, and ahead of the match O'Connell has praised the young rugby talent emerging from Tipperary.

He has highlighted Dave Foley and Tommy O'Donnell as players from the Premier County with huge potential.

Foley from Clonmel and O'Donnell from Cahir, will both start on the bench for tonight's game in Thomond Park which kicks off at 7.35.
