Mixed fortunes for Tipperary teams in their respective Munster senior club semi-finals.

The Tipp champions ran out comfortable 1-13 to 0-3 winners against St Josephs.

Charlie McGeever felt Commercials learned a lesson from the quarter final and started well against the Clare outfit at the Clonmel Sportsfield.

They will take on Nemo Rangers of Cork in the Munster final after the Cork side saw off Legion of Kerry in the other semi.

Thurles Sarfields had to give best to Na Piarsaigh in their provincial Senior Hurling semi-final.

The Tipp champions travelled to the Gaelic Grounds with high hopes and held a 3 point lead at half time…..12 points to 9.

However Sars could only add 5 points in the second half with Na Piarsaigh pulling clear to run out winners 2-15 to 17 points with the goals coming from Peter Casey and David Dempsey.

The Limerick champions will now take on Ballygunner of Waterford in the Munster final.

Sars coach Paddy McCormack said they lost out to the better team and have no excuses.
