McIlroy may struggle to make cut

The world number two will begin the day on 3-over par after a disappointing opening round of 75.

The lead at Bay Hill is held by Jason Day, whose 66 leaves him 6-under par and a shot clear of a group of five that contains the in-form Adam Scott.

Graeme McDowell has some ground to make up on the leaders today – the 2010 US Open champion will begin day 2 on 1-under par.
