McIlroy criticises US Open for cutting back rough

Rory McIlroy’s criticised organsiers of the US Open golf for cutting the rough back at the Erin Hills course.

Parts of it had been described as “unplayable” because of the thick, long grass.

The second major of the year starts tomorrow.

McIlroy says players should deal with what’s thrown at them – especially as the fairways are so big.
