McGrath says league defeat spurred victory over Clare

This was the third meeting of 2016 between the sides with Clare taking victory on the first two occasions, including a one point win in the Allianz League final.

Speaking after the game, Waterford manager Derek McGrath said that the defeat in the League decider was their primary motivation for yesterday's game.
