The proposals include a covered stand, gym, physio and medical rooms and eight new dressing rooms in addition to the three pitches already in use at the facility beside Semple Stadium.
While they have been allocated half a million euro from the Munster Council as part of their infrastructural grant scheme, County Board secretary Tim Floyd says a major fundraising task lies ahead.
