Maher says Tipp need to focus on their own game.

Tipperary captain Brendan Maher has responded to claims that the team are yet to be tested this year ahead of their All-Ireland final clash with Kilkenny.

Although the Premier County have beaten Galway, Offaly, Dublin and Cork en route to the final, there are some who think facing the Cats will be their first proper challenge this season.

However, Maher says that Tipp are responsible for their own performances and have no control over what their opponents do.

The Borrisoleigh man believes if they put all their focus into playing to the best of their ability they can beat Kilkenny on Sunday.

Meanwhile Kilkenny's Richie Power feels Tipperary will go into Sunday’s game with huge momentum as a result of their performances throughout the year.

Tipperary had to qualify through the back door having missed out on the Munster Championship title, but Cats forward Power thinks they have built up momentum in the extra games they have had to play.

The Carrickshock man says Tipp will be difficult opponents as it looks like they've taken confidence from recent games, and he thinks the Premier County's first round win against Galway was a turning point for Eamon O'Shea's men.
