Loss to Louth leaves Tipp Fooballers still chasing promotion

They lost to Louth in a top-of the table clash 0-12 points to 0-16 in Semple Stadium.

Louth go through to the division final and Tipp Manager Liam Kearns says they deserve it on their second half display.

Kearns was afterwards lamenting the fact that his side weren't seven or eight points ahead after dominating the first half.

The Premier's final game is a tough trip to Armagh next weekend but a win should still seal promotion.

In Division 1 – Kevin McLoughlin's late score earned Mayo a crucial 1-10 to 0-12 win over Tyrone in Omagh.

Elsewhere, it finished Doneal 1-11 Monaghan 1-11 in Ballyshannon.

Cavan kept their hopes of staying in Division 1 alive as they earned a 1-10 to 0-13 draw against Kerry at Breffni Park.
