The British and Irish Lions have their first win in their tour of New Zealand, despite an unconvincing display.
Warren Gatland’s side beat the New Zealand Barbarians 13-7 in front of a sell out crowd.
The Lions trailed 7-3 at the break, with Gatland’s son Bryn Gatland excelling for the hosts and Jonathan Sexton scoring the visitors’ only points of the half.
However a better second half performance helped them sneak the win, with England’s Anthony Watson scoring their only try of the game and Greg Laidlaw slotting over a penalty.
Next up is a meeting with the Blues on Wednesday, with Gatland hoping for a much improved display ahead of the three tests with the All Blacks.
However, he says he’s not panicking just yet.
