Line ups announced for hurling semi-finals & football quarter-finals

In the hurling semi finals, which were announced on Extra Time last evening…reigning champions Thurles Sarsfields will take on Kilruane McDonaghs while Drom and Inch will face Nenagh Eire Óg for their chance to play in the final. 

For most neutrals Kilruane McDonaghs are the surprise packet in this year’s championship…the North side have gathered momentum as their year progressed 

Manager Liam O'Shea says he's not intimidated by facing the reigning champions in the semi finals. 

The draw for the quarter finals of the senior football championship was also made on Extra Time on Tipp FM last night.

The tie of the round sees the Charlie McGeever trained Clonmel Commercials up against Declan Laffan’s Loughmore Castleiney

An all-West pairing sees Eire Óg Annacarthy up against Aherlow Gaels. 

West champions Arravale Rovers will meet Killenaule from the South of the county.

The final game of the round sees Galtee Rovers and Moyle Rovers battle it out for a place in the Semi finals.

In the Intermediate Hurling Championship the quarter final match ups were also revealed…Thurles Sarsfields will meet the winners of St Mary’s and Cashel. 

North champions Newport will meet Golden Kilfeackle while Lattin Cullen will come up against Mid Tipps Clonakenny.

In the final tie of the quarter finals Ballinahinch will meet the winners Drom Inch and Kilsheelan who will play this Wednesday night.
