Johnny Sexton may have to take an extended break to recover from injury

Joe Schmidt has admitted Jonathan Sexton may need some time off to recover from his latest injury setback.

The 31 year old missed the win over Australia with a hamstring strain, and came off injured in both tests against New Zealand.

Schmidt says they will explore the possibility of Sexton taking a break from the sport to help improve his fitness.
