Irish team set off for France

Martin O'Neill and his squad depart for Paris this morning where they will settle into their new base in Versailles ahead of Monday's opening Group D fixture against Sweden at the Stade de France.

The team received a welcome boost last night with the news that the entire coaching ticket have signed new contracts.

Martin O'Neill, Roy Keane and coaches Steve Guppy, Seamus McDonagh and Steve Walford have all agreed new two-year extensions that will see them stay in charge of the team up until after the 2018 World Cup campaign.
